How it's scored
Waves
Open-Meteo swell about 5 km offshore: height, period and direction. Only energy coming through the spot's swell window counts; long period adds power.
Wind
The same wind is good or bad depending on which way the beach faces: offshore grooms, onshore wrecks. We compare six wind models.
Tide
Official INOCAR hourly predictions. Each spot has its preferred stage (low, mid or high) and the score rewards it.
INOCAR alerts
When INOCAR declares rough or very rough seas, the alert overrides the model: the score drops and you see the warning.
